Thanks for the tips, everyone. Gonna test my TDS and maybe move them to a smaller tank. Parents are about 18 months old, so maybe they're still learning. Appreciate the help!

My discus laid eggs last week but none hatched. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, nitrate under 20 ppm. Tank is 75 gallons, temp at 84F, sponge filter, driftwood, and some java fern. Parents are healthy and eating well. Any ideas what's up?

86°F is wild, dude. Mine are happy at 83°F with a canister filter and weekly water changes. What's your filter setup? Poor filtration + heat = bad news.

Flakes can work, but they're not the best long-term option. I've used TetraMin flakes occasionally, but my fish prefer pellets or frozen. Make sure the flakes sink fast enough, or they'll just float and get ignored. My tank's got a canister filter, and I do 30% water changes twice a week.

Opposite sides works best for me. Also, consider a heater guard if you've got curious fish. Mine like to nibble at everything.

I'd recommend a two-part dosing system if you're not already using one. Keeps things steady. Also, what's your pH like? Low pH can mess with calcium uptake.

How's the female looking? If she's not plump with eggs, they might not be ready. Also, what's your filtration like? Too much noise can spook them.

I'd advise being cautious when ordering from anyone on Facebook, do your research first. New scammers pop up every day and Facebook rarely takes action. Since Daku Aquatics has a website, that's a positive sign, but still be careful.
