Re: information on the panther grouper
You're thinking 150-300 gallons is big, but trust me, that's not even close. I'm talking about a massive tank, something like 3,590 gallons. That's the kind of space a Panther Grouper really needs to thrive.

information on the panther grouper
Hi, I'm curious about keeping Panther Groupers in aquariums with lower temperatures - specifically around 70°F, rather than the recommended 73°F.

Re: about sharks
Hey,
I'm not sure how many folks here keep Elasmobranches in their home tanks, but I do, so I'll try to help you out. First off, grab the book "Aquarium Sharks & Rays" by Scott Micheal – it's a solid resource for anyone looking to get into keeping sharks and rays.
Now, I gotta break it to you ...

Re: about sharks
Thanks for all the info!! I really appreciate your detailed response. I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in keeping sharks. I've actually already read 'Aquarium Sharks and Rays' - it's a great book, I've probably gone through it 10 times already. It's been really helpful in giving me an idea ...

about sharks
I'm new here and I was curious about keeping sharks in a home aquarium. Not the big ones, though - I'm thinking about smaller species like Bamboo Sharks. I read this book from my local library and it said they're actually pretty great for beginners, even in a marine setup.

Lovely seahorses, by the way. What's the tank size, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Identify this coral
I've been feeding my gonioporas with homemade fish food. Now I'm thinking of trying phytoplankton nanochloropsis as a food source, but I need to get my hands on some seed culture first. Does anyone know where I can find it in the market these days?

Re: Identify this coral
I went to my local fish store and they told me this coral is goniopora stokesi. I'm not sure about its requirements, can someone tell me what this coral needs to thrive?
