Re: It's finally happening

Congrats! That's awesome. Keep the water pristine, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and nitrates under 10 ppm. I'd recommend daily 10% water changes with RO water. Also, feed the parents high-protein foods like beef heart to keep them strong. They'll likely guard the eggs fiercely.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'll probably skip the herbal stuff and go with Prazipro. Appreciate the advice.

Is Petco's herbal parasite remedy safe for corys?

I've been dealing with some parasites in my Corydoras tank and saw Petco's herbal remedy. Anyone know if it's safe for them? My tank's a 20-gallon long, sand substrate, planted with Java Fern and Anubias. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate. Temp's at 76F.

Betta and shrimp can be hit or miss. Glad yours is behaving! Just keep an eye on the shrimp population. Bettas sometimes decide they're snacks later on.

Re: sharing my 10-gallon plant setup

Nice setup! For Rotala to stay red, you'll need strong lighting and low nitrates. Try keeping nitrates below 10 ppm. The Nicrew should be enough if it's the planted version. How often are you dosing ferts?
