I see a bit of white skeleton on that frag. I think it might be from the upgrade to higher wattage, which increases the PAR level and could cause bleaching. I'd suggest moving it down a notch and see how it does, then you can move it up gradually, like every week or so. Good luck with it.

It's happened before, actually, but I thought it might've just been a coincidence that he stopped jumping after we got the blue lights - I mean, he was settling in and had a more permanent burrow by then too. But after the power cut, I'm pretty convinced it's the darkness that's the issue.

My tank is in the bedroom, and I've got some dim moonlights that stay on all night. We had a powercut the other night, and within minutes he was making a break for it. I covered the tank with a net and left him for a bit, but he just wouldn't calm down, so I ended up grabbing a torch and shining it ...

Jawfish personality traits
I've had a pretty weird experience with my jawfish - it freaks out when the moon lights are off. It's literally trying to jump out of the tank, so I've had to keep them on to keep it calm. Anyone else have a jawfish with a fear of the dark?

Honestly, I'd consider fragging a few arms to make it more manageable. You could then trade or sell the frags to get some new corals that'll fit in the space you have available.
