Re: Mandarin spotted in the wild
Again sorry, but I really wouldn't. I know some people say it's okay, but I think even a pair of clowns in a 10-gallon tank is pushing it.

Re: Mandarin spotted in the wild
I agree with LLJ, adding more fish to a 10g tank seems like overstocking to me. Mandarin fish are notoriously finicky - some will only eat live food, which can be an issue in a relatively young tank like yours, with a pod population that's still developing. You'd need to consider culturing your own ...

Re: Displaying chalice corals: share your showcase
The middle one, orange with light blue rim, what is that?
That's the Original Orenji. I'm a fan of letting them grow in the frag tank, you get an awesome top-down view. I've got a few in my display tank and I just let them grow on the rockwork like any other coral. It takes time, but trust me ...

Re: Mummy eye coral not thriving
I'm fairly certain that's too much light. The part of the chalice that's in direct contact with the light appears to be the affected area, which seems to be "bleaching". On the other hand, the part that's grown down seems to be doing better, likely because it's not in direct light. It's almost as if ...

Re: Pectinia coral care and troubleshooting
I'd let it be and stop stressing it out. Every time you move it, it needs to adjust again and that's just adding to the stress. It's bleaching, in my opinion, and I don't see the point of dips for that. Dips are for pests or infections, not for lack of photosynthesis. I think the dip was unnecessary ...

Re: Favia coral care and questions
I'm a fan of fuana pellets, they seem to work well. Honestly, I don't think there's a single food that stands out as a game-changer for color and growth - it's really just about finding what works for you and your tank.

I've moved your post to the right section for you. I'm not familiar with either species myself, but hopefully someone with experience will come along soon and be able to help you out.

Re: seeking assistance
Just checked your sig and yeah, I get it now. 10 gallons is a bit small for adding another feisty fish, if you ask me. Honestly, I'd just let them duke it out on their own at this point.

Re: seeking assistance
Clownfish are known for being quite feisty, given their damsel background. They're generally not afraid to stand up for themselves. What's the size of your tank, by the way?
