Re: Is krib caring for her eggs?

Aww that's such a bummer. I'm guessing she probably did eat them, huh?

Re: Is krib caring for her eggs?

Sounds like she might be eating them, I had the same concern when I first saw her 'kissing' the eggs, but I'm hoping it's just her way of caring for them this time around.

Re: Emergency: My guppy is fading!

Man, I hope your guppy pulls through. Keep us posted, yeah? And maybe throw in some floating plants to give 'em more cover. Guppies feel safer with some overhead coverage.

Re: Emergency: My guppy is fading!

Yo, my guppy did this once after I moved the tank. Freaked me out! Turned out it was just the light being too bright. You mess with the lighting lately? Maybe dim it a bit and see if that helps.

Re: angel spawn discussion

Honestly, I'd advise against breeding angels, they can get super territorial when spawning and have been known to attack other fish while protecting their young, so I wouldn't recommend breeding them in a community tank, it's just not worth the risk.

Re: are my cichlids african or american?

looks like an african cichlid, reminds me of some i had in my community tank, beautiful colour on them, hope the new era pellets work out for you, what made you choose them over the usual food?

Re: growing algae: a beginner's guide

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you can leave a cup of water with a rock in it out in the sun for a bit, and it's supposed to grow algae.

Re: information on the oscar tank

Honestly speaking, I think the minimum tank size for one Oscar would be around 5 foot by 2.5 foot by 2.5 foot, that's my two cents on this.
