I'm really taken by these fish, they're going to be my next little project, I just love the idea of having something different in my tank.

they are very pretty fish
i would love to have something different

I came across them on a site and I'm trying to figure out the tank size I'd need for a pair.
Would 1 male and 2 females work or should I just get a pre-paired set?
Also, what kind of habitat would be best for them?

is it possible to buy pelvicachromis pulcher?

Does the bleached area have a silvery colour to it? If so, it's possible that it's just a trapped air bubble around the wood. I've had this happen before, and it's usually not a cause for concern. You might want to try gently moving the wood if you can.
