Re: phosphate remover for coral tank

I've been using Rowaphos for years. It's pricey but lasts forever. Just toss it in a media bag in your sump. Also, how old are your bulbs? Old T5s can contribute to algae blooms.

He's thriving in the big tank. I'm thrilled to see him swimming alongside the adults. His growth over the last few days is incredible - he's noticeably bigger already. It's an absolute delight to watch him settle in so seamlessly.

No need to worry about the current tank inhabitants, I think it's time to let the little guy join the community. Being in the open tank will likely boost his growth rate even more.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I was thinking of releasing him soon anyway, just wanted to make sure I ...

Re: Can i add a 5 1/2 week old cory to a community tank?

I've got a pretty peaceful community in my tank - just guppies, a bristlenose pleco, an otto catfish, and some other corys.

Re: Can i add a 5 1/2 week old cory to a community tank?

It really depends on the tank's community. If you've got peaceful, small fish that won't harass the little guy, now might be a good time to let him out and explore. But, if you've got fin-nippers or territorial fish, it's probably best to keep him safe in the breeder box for a bit longer ...

Can i add a 5 1/2 week old cory to a community tank?

I've got a cory that's about 5 1/2 weeks old now, and he's really taking off. I'm thinking it might be time to let him out of the breeder box and into the main tank. He's definitely big enough that I don't have to worry about him getting eaten. The thing is, this is my first time successfully ...

Re: identifying mystery plants: can you help?

The first photo appears to be an Echinodorus species, commonly known as Burhead or Amazon Swords. Given the leaf veins, rosette form, and what seems to be a rhizome in the substrate, it shares characteristics with Echinodorus. However, I must note that the taxonomy of this genus is often confusing ...

Re: identifying mystery plants: can you help?

This plant's growth rate is crazy - about a leaf (or two) daily. The more I look at it, the more I think it resembles Aponogeton crispus. I may need to rethink its placement, as it's currently a nice focal point, but if it is indeed Aponogeton crispus, it's going to get massive.
