Palythoa grandis can be drama queens. Check your alk too, they don't like it below 8. Also, any new tankmates bothering them?

Anyone tried using dirt under sand? I've heard it's a great combo for plants, but I'm worried about it messing with the water. My tank's a 12-gallon with a canister filter, and I'm trying to go full walstad.

I'm pretty sure some of my fish know me, like my Gourami and Angels - they always seem to acknowledge me when I'm near the tank. My two female Bettas too, they've got a special vibe going on when I approach. The tetras, not so much, they're just too busy swimming around in a school.

I really hope my bettas recognize me, even if it's just as the magical food god. Puyo's tank is right at my desk, so I'm basically in his line of sight all day.
