Re: How Do You Acclimate New Plants?
Dipping in a diluted bleach solution (1:20 ratio) for 2 minutes kills pests. Rinse thoroughly, then soak in dechlorinated water for 10 minutes. Never lost a plant this way.

cardinals of bangia
From my understanding, determining the sex isn't possible. BUT, I'd appreciate it if anyone with hands-on experience could share their insights. The goal here is to identify some key differences between the two, so we can provide accurate info if someone asks in the future. Thanks guys

Re: Lobophyllia tissue recession issues
Looking at the new pics, I can see there are some areas where the tissue's completely gone and the skeleton's exposed - bottom left, for example. Every bit of white tissue is new and was transparent before, so I'm a bit concerned. I've had no fish in the tank since a couple died and I moved them to a QT, and I haven't ...

Lobophyllia tissue recession issues
I've got a bit of a problem with my brain coral - it's developed some tissue wounds and bits of flesh are losing all their color. I've had no fish in the tank for 2 months, so I'm pretty sure it's not being nipped at.
