I totally agree with you, rams aren't exactly the easiest fish to keep in a community tank. They need warmer temperatures, around 82 degrees, to really thrive and show off their colours. Most other fish prefer it cooler, around 77 degrees, so you're quite limited in your options.

This topic's been beaten to death, if you ask me. I've always maintained that the best-looking tanks I've seen have a good balance of fish and regular feedings, but they also have top-notch filtration systems in place to handle the waste.

I've tried 5582jbsmarines on eBay, got a 110ml bottle of copepods. It did the job. Also used phytoplus "podz" a few times, £4.50 for a 30ml bottle. Worth every penny, got more in the smaller bottle than the 110ml one from the other seller.
