looks pretty standard to me, but yeah those yoyos might be causing some stress, mine get all worked up when defending too. Guess it's a bit of a pain when they're still learning to stay out of the way, especially with bigger ones like yours. By the way, love your accent.

ok so if the digging's just geneflake behavior, do you think it's safe to move them back into the community tank now? my pair of rams seem to be getting along again and look like they're ready to spawn, so i was thinking of moving them to the breeding tank

Thanks for the info, I've got another question - when do they usually start spawning? I'm not entirely sure how old they are, but I'd say the male's about 2 inches and the female's around 1.5 inches.
