Re: Fish vision and color perception
I read somewhere that fish can't see red as well as other colors. Is that true? My Neon Tetras seem to ignore red food pellets sometimes.

Re: can discus live with tetras?
I tried Neon Tetras with my Discus once, but they didn't last long. Maybe my water was too warm? Tank's at 84°F, and the Neons seemed stressed. Switched to Rummy Nose, and they're doing great. Also, make sure your Tetras are healthy before adding them. Quarantine for at least 2 weeks.

Re: my coral is turning brown, why?
My torch did the same thing last month. Turned out my alk was swinging because of a bad test kit. Double-check your params with another kit if you can.

Re: best discus food for growth
I've heard beef heart is messy. Does it really not mess with water quality? My tank's only 55 gallons, and I'm scared of ammonia spikes.

Re: fixing discus hole in head issue
I just feed flakes. My fish seem happy, but they're not fancy or anything. Maybe I should try better food?

Re: fixing discus hole in head issue
My fish had holes too, but I just did more water changes and they got better. Maybe it's the water? I don't test much, just change it when it looks cloudy.

In my experience, your three discus should be fine for the next few months. If aggression becomes a problem, having plenty of decorations to break the line of sight can really help to disperse it. When you do get the new fish, try to get ones that are similar in size to the ...

I agree with FishNe, you're gonna need to do way more than 30% water changes to tackle those nitrites. What kind of setup do you have for the discus - quarantine, breeding, or a scaped tank? I'd strongly recommend getting more Fritz and following the ...
