Re: PAR meter use for corals

Thanks for the advice, everyone. Gonna tweak my light settings and keep an eye on the Monti. I'm using Red Sea Coral Pro salt, seems to work well so far.

PAR meter use for corals

Just got a PAR meter and trying to figure out the best spots for my corals. My tank's a 40-gallon with AI Prime lights, running at 60% intensity. Got some Zoanthids, Acans, and a small Montipora. Anyone got tips on ideal PAR ranges for these guys?

Yep, vinegar works wonders. Just rinse it well after, don't wanna mess with the water chemistry.

Re: External filter troubleshooting

Look for cracks in the impeller housing or debris stuck in the blades. Sometimes a tiny bit of sand or plant matter gets in there and messes with the rotation.

Re: External filter troubleshooting

Sounds like the impeller might be clogged or worn out. Had a similar issue with my Eheim last month. You try taking it apart yet?

Re: how to Care for moss balls

Never had a moss ball but this thread's helpful. Gonna grab one for my 10-gallon. What's the best way to acclimate them?

Re: betta bloating issues after frozen bloodworm feedings

I think it's possible that your boy Pisces' belly is bloated due to gorging on the bloodworms, but there could be other factors at play as well.

To be honest, bloodworms aren't the healthiest food option, and I'd recommend limiting them to once a week. They can cause internal issues, and it's ...

betta bloating issues after frozen bloodworm feedings

My boy Pisces had a tough time eating for the past 10 days, he just wasn't feeling well. Now he's back to normal, but after feeding him live frozen bloodworms, I've noticed his belly is bloated. I do see tiny feces coming out, which is a good sign. The people at Petsmart told me I could cut the ...
