Re: troubleshooting my planted aquarium issues
Honestly, sometimes it just doesn't click. I've had my fair share of struggles too, trying to grow Brazilian pennywort and it just didn't pan out, no matter how hard I tried. Maybe it's time to consider a change of scenery, I mean, a different plant. Perhaps another type of sword or even an aquarium ...

Re: Choosing the perfect fish for a 10-gallon tank
I'm getting a new 10 gal tank and I'm torn between a few species. The thing is, I'm moving overseas in 8 months and I want to take my new pet with me, just like I'm planning to take my betta. I'll be bringing my established sponge filters too, so I'll need a hardy fish that can handle the trip.
I ...

Re: Choosing the perfect fish for a 10-gallon tank
Considering your situation, I'd recommend sticking with a betta. Given their hardiness, I think they'd be the best choice for someone planning to move overseas. I've had experience relocating with bettas in the past, and as long as your water parameters are stable, they should do just fine. It's ...

Re: Growing a lush lawn: best substrates for a fine grassy carpet
I've had good experiences with sand as a substrate for my plants - no major issues to report. I'm not familiar with the specific plant you're working with, though, so can't offer much insight there. I do know that some fish can be quite skilled at digging up plants, but my current tankmate is just ...

Growing a lush lawn: best substrates for a fine grassy carpet
I've got a bit of a setup going on in my tank with two sizes of gravel and some plants on rocks and wood, plus a bit of moss on a ship wreck. The two big plants I've got are doing really well in the gravel, roots everywhere and visible through the glass, so I'm guessing they're happy. I used to have ...

Growing moss at home: tips and tricks
I'm on a mission to grow stunning moss, but somehow it always falls short of perfection. I just can't seem to get it right, no matter what I try. I'm not one to give up easily though. I've decided to take the plunge and set up a dedicated moss tank. Now I'm eager to hear from you - what type of moss ...

Re: Growing and using pennywort in herbal remedies
I also had a go with pennywort and unfortunately, it didn't work out for me - I lost it twice. I anchored it to the substrate, but I think I'll give floating it a shot, like coltin suggested.

Growing aquarium lilies from seed: a beginner's guide
I'm curious about growing a lotus or water lily from seeds. I found some on Amazon and I'm wondering how well they work and what the process would be like. I'm trying to grow one in my 29 gallon tank. I'd love to hear from you guys - @coltin @BadgersSong @kingrise @juicebox. I've got my eye on these ...
