Re: Female betta appears extremely bloated

Would be really helpful if you could post a picture of your betta, might give us a better idea of what's going on.

Re: Is a pundamilia compatible with a tropheus duboisi?

Looking for some good tank mates for my tropheus that won't set him off, I stumbled upon the pundamilia - some articles say they're peaceful, others claim they're peaceful but get territorial when breeding, and then there are those that say they're just plain aggressive... and of course, the fish ...

Could you post a higher quality picture of the fish, or maybe a few from different angles?

Re: assistance with a friend's betta

Daily 75% water changes are a must, and don't forget to clean the substrate. I'd also recommend adding rock salt, pool salt or aquarium salt - 2 heaped tablespoons per 20 litres of water should do the trick. What are the water parameters, by the way? Poor water quality is often the culprit behind ...

Re: Is a crayfish a suitable addition to an african aquarium?

I've got a crawcoastrl today and was thinking of adding a crawfish to my 75 gallon tank. It's currently home to 3 clown loaches, and I'm curious to know if this would be a good idea.

I still don't think it's a good idea, they're super fast at catching fish when you're not looking. They killed a ...

Re: Is a crayfish a suitable addition to an african aquarium?

No, I wouldn't recommend it. I had a bad experience with crayfish, they decimated my neptunes and swordtails. They're super fast, especially at night when you're not watching.
