Re: is my pale female krib possibly breeding?
I'm thinking you should have seen some sign of the fry by now if everything had gone to plan, but I'm no expert. The fact that she's almost colourless and being chased off by the male, that's a pretty clear sign of submission and it's possible she's just not ready to spawn at the moment. I'd keep a ...

Re: Compatibility of neolamprologus cylindricus
They're naturally a social bunch, but like other shoaling cichlids, they seem to adapt well to being alone.

Re: Compatibility of neolamprologus cylindricus
I've had decent luck with L. cylindricus, they seem to ignore anything that doesn't look like a threat. Never kept speciosus before, so can't comment on that one. Caudopunctatus is a solid shell dweller option though, less common than the multies but with way better color in my opinion.

Re: Compatibility of neolamprologus cylindricus
Cylindricus and leptosoma seem to be okay, temperament-wise. Beuscheri, on the other hand, is a whole different story - I've heard they're pretty aggressive.

Re: raising apistogramma cribensis
For a 100 litre tank, I'd recommend doing a 25% water change weekly, and testing the water once a week as well.

Re: Raising krib eggs at home
It can take a few tries for the parents to get the hang of things, sometimes more than a few.

Re: Raising krib eggs at home
You can definitely do that. For the setup, you'll want a small tank, a heater to keep things stable, an air pump, and an air stone to create some gentle movement. Adding something like arciflavine or methylene blue will help prevent fungus from growing on the eggs. When you move the rock, flower pot ...
