Re: Is my fish suffering from fin rot?
I'm curious about your water change routine. Do you have a regular schedule for water changes? What percentage of the water do you usually change at a time? Also, what kind of water conditioner are you using to keep the water safe for Willard?
I do 25% water changes every 2-3 days, and I've ...

Re: Is my fish suffering from fin rot?
I appreciate your response, thanks for taking the time to help me out. I'm a bit embarrassed I don't have a test kit, I know that would be super helpful right now. I've been wondering if that new pointy plant could be causing some damage, I just added it recently. Upon closer inspection, I think I ...

Re: live rock vs dry rock for corals
I swear by Red Sea Coral Pro for my mixed reef. Alk stays steady at 8.5 dKH. Dry rock's cheap, so splurge on good salt and lights. My Radions are set at 60% intensity for 8 hours. Corals dig it.
Same salt here. Consistency's key. My montis started encrusting after I dialed in the alk. Started ...

Re: live rock vs dry rock for corals
Live rock's a gamble. Got some from a buddy's tank and ended up with bubble algae. Took months to cut it out. Dry rock's boring but predictable. My Torches didn't care either way once the water stabilized. What's your lighting setup, brazier?

Re: Plants for a Low-Maintenance Tank
Hornwort is another low-maintenance option. It grows fast, helps with water quality, and doesn't need much light. Just trim it occasionally.
