Re: Fertilizer to pair with Seachem Flourish

Lol, Aidsy, that's one way to do it. But seriously, I'd second Thrive or Easy Green. Flourish is like giving your plants a vitamin when they need a full meal. My tank's a mess but at least the plants are happy.

Re: Umbrella effect in coral growth

I'm stumped, never seen this before - my blue zoas just flipped out, literally, like inside out or umbrella style, no changes to lighting or flow, same spot forever. They were thriving, loved that spot, been like this a month now, no signs of melting or dying, actually lots of new growth. Any ideas ...

Umbrella effect in coral growth

got some blue zoas that i've had for a bit now... they've always been happy in their spot, but out of nowhere they started doing this weird inside out thing or umbrella effect... nothing's changed with the lighting or flow, and they're still in the same spot... they actually seemed to love it there ...

Re: are these fish suitable for a 30-gallon tank

Thanks for the info, guys. I was really set on the Niger Trigger Fish, but after reading your warnings, I'm having second thoughts. I was also looking at the Violiet Lion Fish, but I found out they get way too big for my tank - that was a bummer. I saw one at Petco for $44, but I just can't justify ...

are these fish suitable for a 30-gallon tank

I'm setting up my 30 gallon tank with Coflake Rock on the ground, along with some fake silk plants. I'm thinking of adding a Lion Fish, a Trigger, an Algae Blenny, a Snail, and probably a Snowflake Eel.

Will they all get along or is it gonna be a war zone? Do I really need live rock or can I just ...

Re: Zoanthid decline: what's causing my zoas to deteriorate?

looks like you've also got stars all over the place, and from what i've read, they can irritate or even eat zoas, so that could be part of the issue.
