Yo, I just use whatever's cheap at the store, lol. My betta seems fine, but maybe I'm just lucky. Tank's a mess though, got some neon tetras in there too. They kinda vibe together.

Heaters are boring, but my betta loves his little Orlushy thing. Dunno how it works, but it does. Just don't get the cheapo ones from eBay, learned that the hard way.

Yep, and don't stress if the plants look rough at first. They'll bounce back once they adjust to the tank. Goldfish are a handful, but it's worth it when you see 'em thriving.

Bro, goldfish are like tiny bulldozers. I tried Vallisneria once, and they ripped it to shreds in a week. Stick with the tough stuff like waveflow said. Maybe throw in some Duckweed if you wanna see how fast they can demolish it, lol.
