Re: anyone keeping plants with loaches?
Had the same issue. My solution was using mesh pots for the Crypts. The loaches can't dig them up, and the roots grow through the mesh. Bonus, it keeps the substrate tidy.

Re: seeking guidance and support
Honestly, I'm not sure a forum can be of huge help to you right now. I'm a beginner myself, with only 5 months of experience with my 28-gallon tank. It takes a lot of time to get everything running smoothly - my tank is still pretty empty.

Bangai cardinal having trouble.
Good day,
I've had my Bangai Cardinal in quarantine for 7-8 days now, it was eating well initially. However, things took a turn after I experienced an ammonia and nitrite spike - nitrite was at 0.25, and ammonia wasn't much better. I treated the water with Seachem Prime to detoxify it, but I'm not ...

Re: need assistance with fish feeding
I've had luck with adding garlic to their food, seems to get them interested, especially with the Mysis.
He's gone now. This morning, I found him on the gravel, still breathing, but I thought he was a goner at first. Then I saw him move, he swam to the other side of the tank, made a big dash ...

Re: need assistance with fish feeding
I'm about to give up on keeping fish in my tank. I'm really struggling here. My cardinal, which I thought was a hardy fish, just died today. I'm looking for help, guys, I don't know what to do.
Everything seemed fine with him, he was eating well - just 6-8 pieces of shrimp at a time. But 2 days ago ...

Re: need assistance with fish feeding
I mix the garlic with the food, then let it sit for a bit, so the garlic's not just floating around in the tank. The idea is the garlic gets infused into the food, not that the fish eats a piece of garlic straight up.

I store my frozen foods in plastic bags, is it better to add garlic to the bag or should I mix it with the food just before feeding? How does the trick with garlic usually work for you, do ...

need assistance with fish feeding
Hi guys,
I'm really new to this, I've had my tank for 3 months now. Before that, I just had coflakes and fire shrimps. Those shrimps would go crazy for the tropical flakes I'd give them. Now I've got cardinals in my main tank and a coflake beauty in my quarantine tank. The thing is, neither of them ...

Re: Help with frogspawn coral care
I agree with you on the importance of those factors, but I'm still puzzled why I'm having this issue specifically with frogspawn. It's like they just fall apart overnight, which is weird since my other corals seem to be doing fine.

Re: Help with frogspawn coral care
Thanks for the help, but no luck. Lost the frogspawn. 0 for 2 now. Still no idea what's going on, but I'll keep trying.
