Re: ocellaris clownfish with a lip lump
If it's a lump the same color as the fish, just keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

Re: ocellaris clownfish with a lip lump
What's the color of the lump under your clownfish's lip?

Re: starting a saltwater aquarium
I'd consider getting rid of all the damsels and replacing them with some more peaceful fish. Maybe a pair of cardinals and a small clownfish would work well in your tank. You could even consider an Angel, but make sure to research compatibility first. Damsels can be pretty aggressive, so it's ...

Re: Changing color in octospawn corals
I've got the same piece, it's a splatter or bicolor octospawn, looks pretty normal to me, nice Euphyllia by the way.

Re: leaving my tank full of fish behind
A dancing shrimp is a type of shrimp that's known for its interesting movement, and as for the anemone, it's a fairly large one that my clowns love, but I'm not entirely sure of the exact species, I've just always referred to it as a 'large anemone'

Re: Sick hammer coral issues
I'm curious about the transportation - was the coral bagged or containerized from the LFS to your house? Re: Attaching a wall hammer coral to a rock
My wall hammer's been stuck in the sand bed since day one, but when it inflates, stability becomes a major concern. I've always been a fan of spot welding coral plugs or rocks to the main rock work, that way if you need to remove them, you can just break the bond between the two rocks without ...

Re: Attaching a wall hammer coral to a rock
Attaching it to a flat rock base seems like a solid solution - that way, you can move the whole thing around as needed.

Re: My coral beauty has developed whitespot
Just a heads up, my coflake beauty I got a couple of weeks ago has broken out with whitespot. No QT tank here and even if I did, catching the thing would be a nightmare with all the LR. Are there any reef-safe treatments I can try or ways to boost my other fish's chances? Got a UV, so hopefully ...

Re: My coral beauty has developed whitespot
I'd suggest trying a cleaner wrasse, or maybe a neon goby if you think it's parasites. Could be a viflake too though. Are the white spots all clumped together or separate ones?
