Also, check your flow. Acros need random turbulence to shed mucus. Low flow + high nitrates = unhappy campers. I run two MP40s on reef crest mode.

Tagword, I've had success with 10 ppm for hardy SPS like Montipora, but Acros are fussier. Try cutting back feeding or increasing skimmer runtime. What's your current coral lineup besides the Acros?

I started with CO2 after a year of low tech, and it made a huge difference. My plants grew faster and healthier, but you need to balance light and nutrients too. It's not just about adding CO2.
