If you're going for Vallisneria, make sure your substrate is deep enough. It needs room to spread its roots.

I'd avoid delicate plants like Cabomba. Barbs will tear them up. Stick to tougher species like Amazon Sword or Vallisneria. They're rooted well and can take some abuse.

Growing a vine in my fishtank
I've got some hedge bindweed vine that's all dried up after a few months, and I'm wondering if I can use it in my tank. There's not much info out there, so I thought I'd ask.
