Don't forget about feeding. Frozen mysis is cheap and corals love it. Thaw a cube, rinse it, and target feed with a turkey baster. Way better than expensive pellets.

Lighting's a big one. If your LEDs are basic, try repositioning them closer to the corals. No need to upgrade if you're not keeping SPS. How many hours a day are you running them?

I'm thinking of giving crinum calamistratum a shot in my tanks, but I've never actually kept it before.
