Top schooling fish options

Looking to add some schooling fish to my 55 gallon planted tank. What are the best options that won't mess with my Corydoras and Angelfish? Need something active but not too aggressive.

Less flow is usually better for torches. Mine's in a low-flow area, and it's thriving. Just gotta find that sweet spot.

boomer, I apologize for the confusion - the algae is actually growing on the wood, not the Java fern leaves.

I've come across this issue before - some plants can be quite sensitive to liquid carbon. Vallis, like the one in your third picture, often struggle with it and can die off, especially if you're dosing daily.

Honestly, your water wisteria doesn't resemble either of the ones I've had. Maybe others here have more experience with this plant.

Is my floating tiger lotus bulb dead?

I accidentally snapped the bulb off my tiger lotus while trying to propagate a new one in a planted jar, and now it's just drifting around. Any chance it'll still germinate or should I just go for a fresh bulb?
