I had the same issue with my Swords. Added Seachem Flourish alongside the root tabs and saw improvement in about two weeks. Just make sure your lighting and CO2 are consistent.

They all have their charm, I think. The Neolamprologus do catch my eye, but I'm not sure if my tank's big enough for them. I'd love to know if it's feasible to keep a few in my 4ft tank, and if I'd have to stick to one species or if I could mix and match.
