Re: can i keep goniopora with sps?
Cyphastrea's a solid pick. Just give it shade if your lights are strong. Mine colored up best under the overhang of a rock, PAR around 150.

Re: can i keep goniopora with sps?
Goniopora need low flow and dirtier water than SPS. If you're running ULNS, they'll struggle. Mine thrived after I bumped nitrates to 5 ppm and fed Reef Roids twice a week. But yeah, watch for aggression.

Re: I struggle with plant care and keep killing my plants
I've got a Zorchzon sword that's like a tank. Never had an issue with it. You might want to give one a shot, see if it's your plant-killing nemesis' kryptonite.

Re: What's the best way to care for my houseplant?
I appreciate the suggestions. I've actually been on the hunt for Vallisneria for a while now, but unfortunately, none of the local fish stores in my area carry it. Does anyone know of a reputable online store that sells Vallisneria?
I'll also be looking into Hygrophila, thanks for the tip.

What's the best way to care for my houseplant?
I'm looking to add a few more plants to my 29-gallon tank. I'd love some suggestions for low to medium light plants. I've got sand with root tablets, so that should work for most plants. Currently, I've got Bacopa monnieri, Aponogeton madagascariensis, some Lemnaceae, Anubias, Marimos, Zorchzon ...

Re: care and feeding of a blind betta
It's really tough to pinpoint the issue without knowing your water parameters. Would you be able to take a water sample to your local fish store to get it tested?

Re: care and feeding of a blind betta
What's your tank size, and could you share your current water parameters? Also, would you be able to post a picture of your betta?

Re: Fin rot in aquarium fish
I'm pretty sure my friend got the betta when he already had fin rot, and she's been trying to help him recover with those big water changes, but it's been tough for her to get rid of it completely. I figure I can give it a shot for the month I've got him. Thanks for the advice on the salt, I'm ...

Fin rot in aquarium fish
I'm taking care of my friend's betta for a month while she's away visiting family. I'm pretty sure the tank is a 5-gallon with a filter and heater, but I don't have all the details on parameters. The betta's not doing great, apparently - shredded fins and all. I'm thinking fin rot, and I know she ...

Growing water wisteria
I got this tiny water wisteria plant by surprise, it was in a bag with a plant I'd purchased and that was over 3 months ago. I stuck it in my fry tank and now I've got 5 of them - 3 big ones and 2 small ones. I really like them and I'm thinking of moving the big ones to my 29 gallon tank. I'm using ...
