Re: can discus thrive in hard water?
Hard water's sketchy for 'em long-term. I lost a few before switching to RO. Now I mix 50/50 with tap, TDS around 200. Tank's 65 gallons, sand bottom, with a pair of Eheim 2217s. Feed 'em frozen bloodworms and pellets twice a day.

Seconding swiftly on the beef heart. My discus went from meh to mega after switching. Mix in some garlic guard to boost their immune system. Temp's at 86°F, and they're crushing it. Tank's a 75 gallon with canister filtration, and I'm lazy with water changes, but they're still thriving.

Re: ideal temp for discus comfort
Yo, 84°F is chill but bump it to 86°F if they're hiding. My crew perks up when it's toastier. Got a 100 gallon with blackwater setup, almond leaves, the whole vibe. They're paired with rummynose tetras, which dig the heat too. Just don't let the temp yo-yo, or they'll get sketchy.

Looking for discus Hungary
Hello,
I'm looking for a reliable breeder in Hungary who can provide me with a nice team of fish. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone local who breeds high-quality fish. I've considered reaching out to breeders from neighboring countries like Bulgaria, Serbia, or Romania - they might have some good ...
