Hi, sorry to hear your female betta's not doing well. To try and figure out what's going on, it might be helpful to know a few more details. You've already mentioned the water parameters are fine and the other fish are okay, but I'm curious - is the tank cycled, and how often do you change the water ...

If you were curious about the tail type too, it seems like a crown tail to me.

I'm planning to catch those pond snails over the weekend, might be the culprit. If not, I'll try adding an extra root tab to the damaged ones, see if that helps with the yellowing. Appreciate the advice, everyone.

I just had a thought about your tank setup, I noticed you're using a reptile cave - I've got a few of those too, but I've been told they're not meant for underwater use, the material or finish could be leaching toxins into the water over time, which might not be helping your betta's situation.
