True story. Also, what's your temp stability like? Swings over 2 degrees can cause browning.

Brown coral's usually a sign of too much light or nutrient imbalance. What's your photoperiod? And are you running any carbon? Sometimes organics build up and cause this. I'd test phosphates like Finleyt said, and maybe dial back the Reef Roids to once a week.

Thanks for reaching out. Not a pure chemist here, but I'll give you my two cents. Your tap water seems to be a good starting point, chemistry-wise. Adding pH buffers, targeting a range of 8-8.4, and the necessary salts should keep your Mbuna in top shape.
