Thanks for all the suggestions. Gonna try skimming daily and maybe add some Frogbit to compete with it. Appreciate the help!

Duckweed management
Duckweed is taking over my 20 gallon tank. It's covering the surface completely and blocking light for my Java Fern. Any tips to keep it under control without harming my other plants?

Need a better look at his tail to confirm. If he's a rose tail, he's probably a HM too, and those guys require extra care due to their massive fins and potential issues. Rosetail betta - the downside of beauty | Aquariadise

Re: identifying these betta fish
I'm pretty sure the white and blue one is a double-tailed halfmoon, while the blue one could be either a regular halfmoon or another double tail - the angle makes it tough to tell.
As for their coloring, I think the white and blue one is a marble, and the blue one's just a blue betta with some ...

Re: identifying these betta fish
Hi, great to hear the Bettas are on the mend. I'm no expert, but Moon seems like a mix to me - maybe opal, lyre tail, and a bit of koi. The dark blue one, I'm thinking fluxeon scale. Just my two cents, I could be totally off. They're lovely though.
I'm just glad I finally have a better idea of ...

identifying these betta fish
I've got a bit of a mystery on my hands with my two rescued betta fish - they're doing great now, but I'm stumped when it comes to figuring out what breeds they are. Anyone have some expertise to share?

Re: care and support for rescued bettas
Hey guys, so I'm starting this new thread to see if I can get some help identifying the exact type of Betta these two little guys are. I know it's been a while since I posted about rescuing them from that horrible situation, but they're almost fully recovered now and I'm super curious.

Re: care and support for rescued bettas
I'm feeling pretty down, to be honest. Just lost my little guy Vivid, my Crowntail. His health was never great, not since I got him from Wal-mart. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, and I don't think I'm ready to start cleaning out his tank just yet...
