My betta tank's pH keeps swinging from 6.5 to 7.5. I'm using tap water with Seachem Prime, but it's not stabilizing. What's the best way to keep it steady without messing with the fish too much?

I'm curious about the potential effects of other foods, like steak for instance - just throwing it out there. From what I recall reading, someone did a breakdown and concluded that milk wouldn't be beneficial. Honey, on the other hand, I believe is a form of carbon dosing.
