Re: is my tank too old for new plants?

3 years ain't that old, dude. Crypts are tough as nails. What's your substrate? If it's just gravel, might wanna toss in root tabs. My Crypt Wendtii's been thriving in a 5-year-old tank with basic sand, no fancy stuff.

Aight, bet. Substrate's just plain gravel, no cap. Gonna grab some root tabs ...

is my tank too old for new plants?

Got this tank running for like 3 years now, substrate's kinda beat up. Wanna add some Cryptocoryne but worried the old setup's gonna mess with 'em. Filter's a Fluval 207, light's a Nicrew, no CO2. Y'all think it's cool or nah?

Re: Best corals for a nano tank

Acans are another good LPS option. They don't need crazy flow and can handle a bit of parameter swing. Just feed 'em some mysis once a week.

Re: best substrate for coral tanks

Crushed coral's got that chunky vibe, but sand's way easier to clean. I've had both, and sand's my go-to now. Less detritus buildup, and my Zoas seem happier. What's your lighting setup? That can mess with how much gunk settles.
