If you want a yellow tailed Damselfish, I would add it last since they're very territorial towards new tank additions.
Mandarins are notoriously finicky eaters; most only eat live copepods and can deplete a tank's population in weeks, then starve. I've heard aqua-cultured mandarins aren't as ...

Re: betta tank decoration ideas
I keep it simple with smooth rocks and a few silk plants. Less maintenance, and my fish seems happy enough.

Re: Converting my 5 footer to a fowlr, any stocking ideas
I think using the skimmer on your 5ft tank would be a good idea, helps keep nitrates and other stuff under control.
If you're dead set on a triggerfish, I'd say go for a Niger Trigger - they're less aggressive than some other types, like the Picclyasso trigger. They might eat some of the hermits ...

Re: Chromis is behaving strangely
I'd want to see the rest of your water stats, like ammonia, salinity, and nitrite levels. Maybe the other chromis are stressing him out, is he smaller than the rest? When you say he's missing food, does he actually miss it or is he just spitting it out? I've never seen a fish have trouble eating ...

Acropora not coloring up, any tips?
My Acropora frags have been in the tank for about three weeks now, but they're not showing any color. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate, 8.2 pH, 420 calcium, 1300 magnesium. Running Radion XR15s at 60% intensity for 8 hours. Any ideas what's missing?

Trying various approaches due to the rapid tissue loss, willing to test anything at this point.

Re: Duncan Frags
I've had this frag for over a month now and I'm still stumped - pests are my best guess, but I just can't seem to spot anything, day or night.

Re: Duncan Frags
I decided on 4ml per cup for about 10 minutes, we'll see how that goes. Found something interesting - an amphipod got tangled in the tentacles today. Noticing a lot of activity with copepods and the like around these corals lately.
