Also, keep an eye on the temp. They're sensitive to fluctuations. A good heater with a guard is a must. I learned that the hard way.

Clown Knife Fish can be picky eaters at first. Try live or frozen bloodworms to get it started. Mine took a week to adjust before it would touch pellets. Also, dim the lights, they're nocturnal and might be stressed by bright lighting.

Yep, that's the trick. Full bellies mean happy fry. Just don't let the food sit too long or it'll foul the water.

Yeah, overfeeding's a killer. I'd stick to small, frequent meals. Baby brine shrimp in the morning, microworms at night. Keep the water pristine, and you'll see growth in no time.

I gotta say, that 300w heater is way too much for a 40 gallon tank. I mean, I've got a 55 gallon and my heater's not even that strong. If it malfunctions, you're gonna end up with a tank full of cooked fish. The stocking list looks alright to me, but I'm not familiar with some of those species. One ...
