Re: learning about flame hawkfish

if you're really into hawks, ever considered a longnose? they're pretty cool, always swimming out in the open, and look great in a tank, just a thought

discussing popular species of wrasses

So I had to scale back my reef tank plans due to budget, now I'm sticking with fish and small polyps. I'm looking for some good, reef-safe wrasses that can thrive in a community setting, look good, and do well in a 40-gallon tank.

My current stock includes:

2 percula clowns
1 sixline wrasse

Re: What's the best extension for coral growth

I'm seriously impressed. Always thought bleach was a death sentence for plate corals. You've managed to turn them around, what was the trick?

Cheers, still can't get over how well they've recovered to be honest. Reckon it was a solid investment, lol.

What's the best extension for coral growth

Picked up these plate corals in a rough state, they were struggling and starting to bleach - wasn't even sure they'd make it. Fast forward 3 months and I'm really happy with the progress, the new feeding plan seems to be working a treat and they're extending nicely.

Re: A 55-gallon tank

i feel ya, despite how my valentini was a handful, it was tough to part with him after just a few days.
on the topic of puffers, i was wonderin if there are any that aren't prone to eatin snails, crabs, or other inverts, i'm not aware of any, but i'm open to suggestions.
