One last thought, have you fed it lately? Sometimes a snack of mysis or reef roids can coax them out. Mine's a pig for frozen brine.

Could be flow related. What's your current setup? I had a similar issue with my Torch until I tweaked the powerhead placement. They like moderate, indirect flow. Also, what's your alk sitting at? Hammers can be fussy if it's swinging.

Could be flow related. What's your current setup? I had a similar issue with my Torch until I tweaked the powerhead placement. They like moderate, indirect flow. Also, what's your alk sitting at? Hammers can be fussy if it's swinging.

Good call on the O-rings. Mine were shot after a year. Replaced 'em and it ran like new. Cheap fix if that's the issue.

Yep, had this happen with my FX6. Turns out the timer on my smart plug was glitching. If you're using one, try bypassing it for a night. Otherwise, gonna echo vimster on the impeller.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help me out. My betta sadly passed away a few days ago, so I haven't been back on the site, but I really appreciate all your advice and I'm definitely going to look into it all to try and prevent anything like this happening again in the future.
