I've kept both! Albino Corydoras are super fun to watch, especially in groups. Bronze ones blend in more but have a cool metallic sheen. Either way, they're gonna need at least 6 buddies to feel safe.

Agree with Dkade on plants. Also, check your filter media. If it's packed too tight, flow drops and nitrates spike. I run sponges plus Matrix in my FX6, spaced out. Nitrates stay below 30ppm with 8 Discus in a 90-gallon.

Bare bottom is way easier to maintain, especially with juveniles. You gotta keep the water pristine for them to grow well. I've got a 90-gallon bare bottom with a sump, and my Discus are thriving. A friend suggested it could've been something on the Sprig, maybe gill flukes, but I'm not convinced since there were no symptoms beforehand.

I had a bit of a disaster on Wednesday - one of my discus breeding pairs was leaking, so I had to act fast to save them. Moved them to a bigger tank with similar parameters and temperature, and the female is doing okay, just a bit stressed. But the male didn't make it, he was too stressed and died ...
