Re: getting to know peach

Beautiful indeed, and that red stripe is just the perfect touch. Honestly, I'm not typically drawn to koi bettas, but there's something about him that just caught my eye.

getting to know peach

My friend's recent betta purchase got me hooked again - I'm talking two weeks ago, and now I've got Peach, the koi betta. Seeing her little guy made me crave the experience, and Peach here is the biggest betta I've ever had the pleasure of owning.

Re: Finding the right floating plant for fast currents and splashy conditions

I've got water sprite and it's been a lifesaver for me - I wanted something that could handle the current and surface agitation without making a mess everywhere. Re: betta care for beginners

Sounds like a solid plan to me. The Interpret Mini filter seems like it'll work just fine, its footprint is pretty small and the flow is adjustable which is a big plus. I can see why you'd like it, it's definitely not going to take up too much space in your tank. For comparison, I've got a pretty ...

Re: betta care for beginners

I've put this filter on my 3 gallon cube that houses a betta and it's been working great. Adjustable flow and super quiet, which I love. Plus, loads of room for media. And the best part - it's not too pricey. I've had it running for a while now, about seven months, with no issues to speak of. They ...

I'm with reef_lord9 on this one, those dots do resemble air bubbles in the picture. A clearer pic would really help clarify things.

She does appear a bit bloated, but it's tough to say for sure without a better angle.

Re: Why are my amazon swords turning brown?

I've heard that liquid carbon can be pretty harsh on some plants, especially Vallisneria, and might even cause them to die off - might be worth considering, especially since you're already having some issues with your Val.

Re: Are fish science flakes a good choice?

In addition to the foods mentioned by FinFan, incorporating frozen foods into the mix can be beneficial for the fish. These foods are generally fresher and more natural, however, unless they've been fortified, it's best not to rely solely on them as a food source.

It would be super helpful if you could post some pics of your tanks, it'd give us a much better idea of the layout and plant placement. A visual really does make a big difference in understanding the space.
