Re: why is my Stylophora not branching?
Alk was at 7 dKH, so I'm bumping it up slowly. Also moved the coral to a higher-flow area. Fingers crossed!

why is my Stylophora not branching?
My Stylophora has been in the tank for three months now, but it's not branching like I expected. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5 nitrate, 8.2 pH, 1.025 salinity. Lighting is AI Prime 16HD at 70% intensity. Any ideas what's up?

Re: blondie needs assistance
I was thinking of just letting it sit for a day. The 10 gal has brand new gravel, and the 5 gal doesn't have any since I removed it all for the water changes. I'm wondering if my live plants that I transferred from the 5 to the 10 could be the culprit? I also thought about the tap water, I'll test ...

Re: blondie needs assistance
Thanks again, I appreciate the advice, but I've been doing daily water changes for months now, and it's getting really frustrating. I've already stripped the tank bare, no gravel or plants, to make water changes easier. I'm at a loss here, it's not fun for me and I feel terrible for my poor fish ...

Re: blondie needs assistance
Thanks coltin for the response, I really appreciate it. Been running around like crazy doing water changes and testing, barely have time to keep up with this thread. My ammonia levels are still through the roof at 1.0 ppm, I've lost count of how many water changes I've done and I've even added some ...

Re: blondie needs assistance
Thanks for sharing your experience, angelica. I appreciate the suggestion, but I've already tried daily water changes and unfortunately, it didn't make a difference for my betta. Still, I'm glad to hear your tetra recovered.

Re: blondie needs assistance
Here are some more pics of my elephant ear betta. I've got him set up in an old 5-gallon hex for now, using it as a hospital tank. Just got a new 10-gallon corner bow front that I'm cycling - he'll be moving in there eventually. His tankmates are a bushy nose albino pleco and a nerite snail.

blondie needs assistance
Hi everyone, I'm new here and I'm having some trouble figuring out what's going on with my elephant ear betta's eyes. Initially, I thought it was pop eye, but now I'm leaning towards diamond eye - or maybe something else entirely. I've been researching and looking at pictures, but none of them seem ...
