Re: less than six months old in a 75g tank
I clean around all my tank decorations, haven't had a chance to update pics of this 75g in a while - been busy with my other tanks and moving my larger cichlids to their new home. Recently got a female JD, didn't know she was a female at the time, now I have a lovely bonded pair of JDs. Mostly ...

Re: less than six months old in a 75g tank
they seem to be loving the new gravel. now, i'm thinking of adding a mantle-like cover and working on a DIY hood for the tank.

Re: less than six months old in a 75g tank
I've made some changes to my tank - added new brown gravel to tone down the bright sand and lights. I know gravel isn't ideal for my corydoras, but I've created patches of sand using my zen garden raking style, so they should be okay with their long barbs.

Re: What Causes Color Loss in SPS?
I had this issue when my RO/DI filters were spent. TDS creep can introduce contaminants that affect coral color. When was the last time you changed your filters? Also, any new tankmates? Some fish nip at corals, causing stress.

Re: help me name my one eyed cichlid
That's kinda sad to think about. I've noticed the other cichlids in the tank seemed to sense his imperfection, and they'd occasionally pick on him. It made me wonder if the underdevelopment of his eye might be a sign of other potential issues. Maybe some of his internal organs didn't fully develop ...

help me name my one eyed cichlid
I've got a little guy here who's in need of a name, so I thought why not let you all decide. He was a surprise gift from the lady at my local fish store - she got a new shipment in and as soon as I walked in, she told me she had a present waiting for me.

Re: A texas green plant is struggling.
I'm also pretty sure my corydoras are a bronze female and a male leopard, they were getting frantic so I stuck 'em in a plastic frame netted breeder cage, but honestly I've been trying to figure out for sure if they're male and female, and nothing I've read has been clear enough to make me 100% on it.
