Re: clarks shoes seem to fit my clowns

I've had similar experiences with mine too. If it's not fatal, I wouldn't worry about it.

Re: information on the panther grouper

It'll likely do okay at 70°F, but honestly, it's best to stick with the recommended temp for Panther Groupers.

Actually, longnose hawkfish are fine in a reef setting, they're considered reef safe. The issue is they do get too big for a 20 gallon.

What about a piped filefish? They're pretty interesting, just gotta make sure you're feeding them enough.

Re: A 55-gallon aquarium setup

I've been looking into the Picclyasso trigger and it seems they're part of the Rhinecanthus genus. From what I've gathered, this genus is known for being less aggressive compared to other triggerfish. With careful planning, they can even thrive in reef tanks, as long as you choose tankmates wisely ...

76°F is ideal for most tropical plants. Just watch the Bacopa, it can melt at first but usually bounces back.

Re: Plants for a Tall Aquarium

Tall tanks benefit from stem plants like Rotala or Hygrophila. They grow upward and can be trimmed to bush out. Your lighting might be too low for some species, so consider upgrading or sticking to low-light plants like Java Fern. Sand substrate is fine, but root tabs could help.

I agree with you, diet shouldn't be a factor here, especially since he's still eating fine.

Re: observations on the combtooth blenny's hole

If he's still eating fine, I wouldn't be too concerned. It's possible it's just a trick of the light or something stuck to his skin, like a tiny air bubble or a speck of debris, giving the appearance of a hole.

Re: is gold used in skimmer construction?

I recently picked up a Coflakeife super skimmer, it's rated for 220 gallon tanks and it's been working great for me. I mean, it can be a bit finicky at times, but it pulls out a ton of wastewater and foam. I think I got it for around $200, which is a steal considering some of the prices I've seen ...

Re: Fertilizer to pair with Seachem Flourish

I'm in the same boat with my 15 gallon. Tried Flourish alone and my anubias barely grew. Switched to Thrive all-in-one and it's way better. Maybe worth a shot if you wanna keep it simple.

Thrive is solid, but if you're already using Flourish, you might as well stick with Seachem's line for ...
