I had a crazy growth spurt with my vallisneria about 5 months ago - it was sending out new runners every week. I ended up with too many, so I trimmed it back, but I only cut where the runners were coming out, not the leaves. Now it's been 4 months and I haven't seen any new growth - no new runners ...

I think a school of black neons should be fine. If they do end up being too much, which I highly doubt, you could always bump up the water changes to 4 times a week for a bit.

I'll be finding out today if I'll be able to start shipping again soon. This is just as frustrating for me as it is for those waiting to buy my stock. I really dislike having to put people off like I've had to do lately. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

I'd love to get a clearer picture - what's the tank size, and how many discus are we talking about here? Are there other fish in the mix? Is the tank planted or bare bottom?
