Re: How many otocinclus to add?

I'd start with 3. They're tiny but can be sensitive to changes. If they settle in well, you could add another later. Have you checked your pH? Otos prefer it stable around 6.5-7.5.

Re: Is it worth the investment?

Totally worth it, dude. Bigger tanks are way more stable, especially if you're keeping Discus or other sensitive fish. My 55-gallon has been a game-changer for water params, and the extra space lets plants like Amazon Swords thrive. Just make sure your filter can handle the volume, or you're gonna ...

I was just told in Chat that rope fish are actually too large for this tank.

Re: Is my 10-gallon tank overstocked?

If you're looking for some suitable alternatives for a 10-gallon tank, I'd recommend considering the following species. Chilli Rasboras and Dwarf Emeflaked Rasboras are great options, but keep in mind they're shoaling fish, so you'd want to get at least 6 or more of each. Celestial Pearl Danios are ...

Re: Is my 10-gallon tank overstocked?

In terms of bioload, I think you're pretty much at maximum capacity. However, it's also worth noting that both your Pristella Tetra and Panda Corys are shoaling species. They naturally live in huge groups, hundreds or thousands strong. The general consensus is that they start to feel comfortable ...

Re: how many malawi cichlids should i keep

Take a deep breath, my friend. I'm no expert, but I'll offer my two cents. When it comes to Malawis, a slightly overpopulated tank can be beneficial. I'd say you could comfortably fit 35-40 fish of that size, but do keep in mind I'm not exactly a Malawi guru.

Assuming you've got a grow-on tank all set, netting them is the way to go.
Who's on your list to sell the little ones to, then?

Re: Troubleshooting my duncan coral

I'm curious, do you have other corals thriving in the tank? I've found that a GSP not opening can be a sign that something's off with the water. My duncan does great on the sand bed, out of direct flow - it goes through phases of being closed, but nothing like three weeks straight. How often do you ...
