Re: Reviewing the 360l stock plan
I've seen Regals in smaller tanks, 4x2x2's, and to be honest they just don't look right, constantly swimming up and down the glass. I think a minimum tank length of 5 foot is a must for these fish. If you're looking for smaller Tangs, you might want to consider the Bristletooth, Kole, or Tomini ...

Re: Keeping a small school of fish
I've found some info that suggests Pajama cardinals are actually pretty chill in groups, but Banggai cardinals can be a bit more feisty and are best kept as pairs. I've been doing some research and it seems like the Pajamas are pretty social and do well with some tankmates, as long as they're ...

Re: Keeping a small school of fish
I think the cardinalfish are a bit overrated - they tend to hover more than swim, which makes them less active and interesting to watch.
The chromis are nice, but they can be a handful - you need to feed them constantly or they'll start picking on each other, usually the weakest one first.

Re: Is my clown unwell?
If you can't see it with the naked eye I'd have left it alone. Make sure there's plenty of surface movement and an air stone in the tank he's in, meds tend to take oxygen out of the water. Probably flux, it was breathing heavy and struggling.

Re: care and feeding of the emperor angelfish
I've seen some emperor angelfish do alright in reef tanks, no issues at all. But honestly, it's a gamble, all angels are like that. They can be fine for months, not touch a single polyp, then just go and munch on a whole xenia or something without any warning.

Re: seeking assistance with a pressing matter
I've seen it done in a breeding net for fry, but to be honest I'm not really sure how it's done otherwise.

Re: seeking assistance with a pressing matter
That should be fine Scott. A 2x1.5x1ft clear tray sounds like a great setup for the co-pods, just make sure you don't overfill it with water, keep it relatively shallow. Use a gentle air flow, and add the phytoplankton till you get a nice greenish tint in the water.

Re: seeking assistance with a pressing matter
Hey Scott,
first off, use fresh saltwater, mate.
get a container with a big footprint, not one that's too tall, that way the pods have more space to move around.
for the airpump, just a very slow flow is fine, don't wanna blow the little guys away.

Re: information on yellow box fish
I've seen one that was about 12 inches long, absolutely adorable, but I've read they can be quite sensitive to high flow, so they might not be the best fit for a full-on reef tank. I think it'd take a couple of years for them to grow that big, but I'm not entirely sure.
