I'm a big fan of those gorgeous purple and blue bettas, and half moons just take the cake for me when it comes to tail types. Rose tails are definitely up there too, they're so pretty.

I just brought home a new betta, a tiny halfmoon female. She's a bit dull right now, but I can see hints of blue and red - really pretty. I've named her Frida, after Frida Khalo, the artist. This is my first female betta, so I'm curious - are there any differences I should be aware of?

She's absolutely stunning, I think the new tank conditions are really bringing out her colors.

I'm in the market for a simple light timer for my tank. Looking for a reliable brand that'll switch my lights on and off at set times - don't want to burden the pet sitter with that responsibility when I'm away.
