Lol, my betta just hid the whole time I was messing with the substrate. Drama queen. But yeah, go slow and maybe feed a bit less during the process to keep the water cleaner.

Yo, anyone else's wallet crying over this thread? Hybrid setups sound dope but pricey. My bank account's already sketchy from coral addiction.

T5s are old-school reliable, but LEDs save power. My Duncan's stretching like crazy under cheap Amazon LEDs, though. Weird vibe, right?

Is the lighting too bright?
Hey guys, I've been wondering if my aquarium light is too intense for my betta. She's pretty chill during the day when it's on, but comes alive when it's off or in night mode. I've got white substrate and some decent fake plants in there. If this light is indeed too bright, how can I tone it down ...
