Re: new to the community and seeking assistance

If you just get one Brichardi, it'll probably be alright. Breeding pairs are what you want to steer clear of, as anything that's not a Brichardi will be in for a rough time when they're spawning.

Re: coral dip: which one works best?

I go 15 minutes to be safe. My tank's got a bunch of sensitive stuff, like Gonis and Hammers. No issues so far. Also, make sure your temp matches during rinsing. Sudden changes mess with them.

Re: coral dip: which one works best?

I've been using Coral RX for a while, but my Zoanthids still get pests. Anyone got a better dip that actually cuts it? My tank's a 40-gallon with T5 lighting, and I do weekly 10% water changes.

Try Bayer Advanced. It's sketchy to use at first, but it nukes everything. Just rinse well after. My ...

finding a more affordable catfish option

I'm looking for a catfish that can thrive in a malawi tank, aside from the Syno. The thing is, I'm not keen on shelling out $70 for three Synos, especially since they won't be the main attraction. I'm considering picking up some cheaper dwarf cats from the LFS or maybe a rainbow shark instead.

Re: keeping the brichardi

I'll keep them for now. If things start to go south, I can always rehome the Zebra. I'm curious, would a Green Terror be a good tankmate for the Brichardi? If not, what other Cichlids would work well with it? I've read that Brichardi are generally peaceful with non-Cichlids, but I'd prefer to keep ...

keeping the brichardi

I recently added a Brichardi Cichlid to my tank and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this species. Currently, I have a small Brichardi and a small Red Zebra, and I'm a bit concerned about potential issues as the Brichardi matures. From my research, I understand that I'll need ...
