For real, half the 'rules' are just old-school myths. My Discus are in a 40-gallon breeder (yeah, I know, small for some), but with light stocking and weekly 20% changes, they're thriving. It's all about balance, not extremes.

Exactly. The hobby's full of dogma. If your fish are healthy and your tests are clean, you're doing it right. No need to reinvent the wheel.
